About Us

The convergent media collective was formed when joey lopez moved to San Antonio, Texas and began teaching at the University of the Incarnate Word.  Along with students, community members the group came into an official form in the summer of 2013.  The group consists of artists, tech geeks, teachers, musicians, new media artists, social media professionals, photographers, activist and more.

Our collaborations revolve around working with non-profits on cutting edge projects.  It has brought a reciprocal learning and mentoring experience where the collective learns from each other and also learn from the clients they work with.  In return the clients are exposed to cutting edge work and new ways of thinking about production.

Over the past 13 years we have developed a network throughout the U.S. and internationally of Convergent Media Collective Members and worked with a number of groups, organization and individuals.

If you are interested in collaborating, feel free to drop us a line:  contact@thecmcollective.org
